11 days | 8 National Parks, 2 State Parks, 4 States | Arches National Park

{{ The Arches NP }} Highlights

We hiked to see:

  • Delicate Arch
  • Sand Dune Arch
  • Landscape Arch
  • Wall Arch
  • Pine Tree Arch
  • Balanced Rock

This was the only NP that required either permit-timed entry or getting in before 7am, which meant it was a VERY early day for us! There was also a threat of thunderstorms, so we were in the parks before 7, trying to see all that we could before the storms rolled in.

Sand Dune Arch

This NP was massive. Even driving to the trailheads to start a trail to an arch took quite some time! But even the drive between stops was unique and beautiful…truly like another world. Each trail was full of people, and you often had to line up to wait your turn for pictures.

Double Arch

It wasn’t like the other NPs we visited, where you explore on your own (or so far spread out from others that you felt alone)…but still, the uniqueness of the park definitely warrants a trip!

Delicate Arch
Landscape Arch
  • Jr Ranger Badge #5
  • Afternoon pool and hot tub time for relaxing
  • Evening in Downtown Moab – this was a fun way to end the evening. Lots of little shops and food options. Many shops were very reasonable on their goods, which made for very nice souvenirs!

{{ You could tell we were all dragging yesterday…so, needless to say, we opted for extra sleep to be ready for the next leg of our trip. }}

You can continue our journey with us here… next stop…Mesa Verde and the Petrified Forest!
