Living Softly in a Loud World

Being an INFJ means feeling everything deeper than most — your own emotions and the emotions of everyone you love. Funerals, celebrations, goodbyes… they all hit hard in ways that are hard to explain. So when I say no to plans, it’s rarely about the event. It’s about capacity. It’s about protecting the quiet space where I reset, reflect, and heal. My withdrawal isn’t rejection. It’s self-preservation. And if you’re wired like this too — your sensitivity isn’t weakness. It’s a gift that simply needs gentler handling.

Digging Deeper: My Natural Healing Toolbox

Healing is never one-size-fits-all. I know that every person, every situation, every journey of healing can (and very well may be) different from mine, but I still feel that there is value in hearing how someone else found healing. Maybe there is something in my journey that will be the cycle breaker you need to get you on the right path for healing. So, let’s break down what has helped me get to where I am today… 🛤️ The Beginning: A Scary Diagnosis and a Search for Answers Back in 2021, I sat across from a gastroenterologist who casually tossed out terms like Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis—without lab work, biopsies, or any real…

East Meets West: Combining Modern Medicine with Natural Healing

Without the western medicine, I would never have been able to get my autoimmune diseases controlled enough for me to begin my true healing. But I also 100% believe that eastern medicine is equally necessary, as it focuses on not simply controlling the symptoms, but healing the deeper issues.

Flashback Friday: Kid Edition The calendar says summer but my heart says fall — even if it’s 110° outside. School is back, sports are buzzing, and I’m officially ready for all the months that end in ber. Pumpkin spice, warm textures, and the kind of cozy that makes your home feel like a hug. Some days test you. Some days drain you. Some days make you question whether you’re doing any of it right. Twenty‑two years ago, I walked down the aisle with big dreams, big hair, and absolutely no idea what I was doing. I thought marriage meant romance, matching towels, and a life that looked suspiciously like a Hallmark movie. Bless my heart. #wordlesswednesday #straightouttamymind #lifelately #mickeysnacksarealwaysbetter #disneyworldsouvenirs I don’t know about you, but the “canned” cranberry is still my kids’ favorite! I think this needs to be a staple in our “fancy china” for Thanksgiving dinners! https://amzn.to/4bXRKeQ
